The most common hands are a straight, a flush, and two pair. A straight is a hand that contains five consecutive cards of the same rank, such as an Ace, Two, Three, Four, and Five. A flush is a hand that contains four matching cards, such as an Ace, King, Queen, and Jack. A pair is a hand that contains two matching cards of the same rank, such as an ace and a nine.
